Tanika Bunbury has a passion for empowering and uplifting youth, as well as those she comes in contact with. She started serving in her community at a young age. Her journey began when she started tutoring neighborhood children and helping elderly neighbors while in middle school. In high school, she was blessed with the opportunity to spend a summer in Ghana, West Africa through a cultural exchange program. During that time, Tanika helped to dig a well for fresh water, and volunteered in both a school and health center in a local village. The entire summer experience in Ghana had a major impact on Tanika. It was at that time that the seed for Global Legacy Network was planted. During her college career, she continued to serve her community through various AmeriCorps programs and other community service organizations. After graduating from Howard University, Tanika relocated to North Carolina where she continued to be an active member of the community. She helped to establish a summer enrichment program at her church, as well as establish two mentor programs for the youth. In 2021, Tanika decided to step out on faith and established Global Legacy Network, Inc to meet the needs of youth in underserved communities in North Carolina, Africa and the Caribbean.
